Each country has reacted to the revelation with varying severity. In the United States, riots occurred. Mass lynching. Panic. Chaos. It was a lot like the Salem witch trials... multiplied by 100.
The government stepped in, wrested control via military law. Segregation between humans and supernatural is now a normal everyday expectation. The supernaturals are barcoded and registered for not only the safety of the humans but also for their own.
However, there are supernaturals and humans alike who do not like the status quo and are working to return things to a more equitable basis. They are the Insurgency, and they work in secret.
Many humans like the fact they are on top. Some supernaturals want to regain their superiority. What will you want?

The Fae are magical beings residing in the Realm of Faerie. They are a very heterogeneous group, as there are many different kinds of faerie. Some of them are humanoid in their form, some like animals, and others like various monsters. For a list of Faerie kinds, see the list below. Many of the Fae belong to one of the two Fae Courts: the Summer Court and the Winter Court. Those that do not belong to either are the Wyldfae.
The power of the Courts and their rulers is tied closely to the seasons in the mortal world. Summer gains power from Midwinter to Midsummer and loses power from Midsummer to Midwinter. Conversely, Winter gains power from Midsummer to Midwinter and loses power from Midwinter to Midsummer.
Each Fae court has only one knight each. This knight is a mortal granted some measure of the power of his or her patron Court and charged with making certain the Court’s interests are well-represented in the world of mortals and beyond. For the Winter Court at least, the position is not generally known to be a long-term one, and employment is terminated on case of death alone.
The Winter Knight and Summer Knight are no lightweights, often catching the attention of the Queens of the Courts for their already well-developed supernatural capacity (They can only be human--psychic is typically preferred--or a witch). But they are bound, body and soul, by deep compulsions to adhere to the word of the Mother, Queen, and Lady of their Court.
Still, the reason these knights exist at all is that they alone possess something unique among the members of the Fae Courts. They have mortal free will, and in this they are able to take action that is flatly impossible for the Fae, for the Fae cannot act in any way other than accordance with their natures. As such, they are regarded with much more importance than might seem apropos to their (admittedly still potent) supernatural capacity. (Retrieved from http://www.evilhat.com/home/fae-knights/)
The Summer/Seelie court is considered the higher court and more aristocratic of the Fae. They tend to have harsh judgment and a strong sense of justice. They are highly political with a reputation for bitter rivalries against the Winter/Unseelie court. They have a certain fondness for humans that the Winter court does not typically have. The Summer court are known to sometimes be helpful toward humans if they are seen as deserving of it.
The Summer Court is ruled by the three Summer Queens: Mother Summer, Summer Queen, and Summer Lady. It also keeps a mortal champion, the Summer Knight.
The Mother Summer is the oldest of the three Summer Queens. She is Known as The Queen Who Was, is the previous holder of the title Summer Queen and is mother of the current one. She is not referred to by name but by her position. There's been one new Mother Summer during recorded human history. The current holder of the title is Titania's mother.
The Summer Queen is the ruler of the Summer Court. She is known as The Queen Who Is, and was the former Summer Lady, and will be the future Mother Summer. The current Summer Queen is Titania.
The Summer Lady is the youngest of the three Summer Queens. She is known as The Queen Who Is To Come, and is the future Summer Queen, sometimes the daughter of the current one.
The Summer King is a Wyldfae associated with the season of Summer. He is independent of the Queens, and has a nature that is sort of the opposite of his season's queen. The current Summer King is the Erlking.
The Summer Knight is a mortal chosen as the champion of the Summer Court. (Retrieved from http://dresdenfiles.wikia.com/wiki/Summer_Court)
Members of the Winter/Unseelie court are considered of the lower court and tend to be a bit more 'evil.' Evil is a relative term simply because it mainly means they are less inclined to be nice toward humans and care if they live or die... unless they find one they think would make a good pet or one they feel like they can respect. They are much more inclined to cause chaos and pull pranks in the human world than the Summer Court.
The Winter Court is ruled by the three Winter Queens: Mother Winter, Winter Queen, and Winter Lady.
It also keeps a mortal champion, the Winter Knight. Mother Winter is the oldest of the three Winter Queens. She is Known as The Queen Who Was, is the previous holder of the title Winter Queen and is mother of the current one. She is not referred to by name but by her position.
Wyldfae don't side with either of the Fae Courts. They usually just do their work and pay little attention to the courts. In the event of war, the Wyldfae will associate themselves with the side that they are most inclined to. It seems to be that mostly the "nice" wyldfae go to Summer and the "mean" ones go to Winter. Each of these positions is adoptable, but until someone requests one of the positions, they will remain as NPC's for IC use. Upon requesting one of these positions, the new player will have the option to assume the NPC's identity and take up their position. They may keep the name already provided or they may choose a new name. As of right now, to fill one of these positions, please ask one of the admins and we will get with you ASAP!
